As a church, Big Sky’s mission is to know God and make Him known. Because of this, our team serves to make God known through authentic, celebratory, spirit-filled music. This leads the congregation into worship and thus prepares them to know God by the teaching of his word.
There are several ways to serve at Big Sky within the Music Ministry. You could audition for the worship team or band which could include one or more of the following: Lead Vocals, Backing Vocals, Guitar, Bass, Drums, Viola, Piano, and Keyboard. You could also serve with our audio visual and sound team which also includes online and live streaming services.
The team scheduled for the following Sunday meets on Thursday nights at 6 pm. Practices are mandatory in order to play on Sunday morning.
Team Expectations Include:
Ability to play your respective instrument with excellence.
Ability to sing and or harmonize in key with consistency.
Be prepared with all parts by Thursday rehearsal.
Continually grow in your relationship with Jesus.
Be engaged in our Mission and Vision: To know Him and make Him known
Be willing to be coached and also available to mentor other musicians.
Be aware that worship is streamed live online.

At Big Sky, we also are very diligent about the selection of every song we sing during our corporate worship services. We strive to have a Gospel presence or present a truth of scripture with each song. The aim is to plan songs with the word that is being taught and that encompasses the text from that week.
